It’s worth noting that when I saw Tim Wakefield at Fenway tonight, I told him about the book and asked for his help. “Anything you want,” is how he responded. I had eight copies of the book in my briefcase, so I had him sign those, and we’ll be doing more things together in the future. He and Clay Buchholz are the Red Sox ambassadors to the Jimmy Fund. I didn’t bother Clay today, because he was preparing to shut down the Angels. But I’ll be bugging him soon enough, and I expect the same response. Great guys working for a great cause.
